Week 5

  • Transistor and Motor

The first lab did not gone well and the motor went on very aggressively even with slight connection to the ground. Also, after several trial, I could smell something bad. Then, suddenly the Arduino lost its connection and I realized that my Arduino is dead.

?? I used 12V DC adaptor with hobby motor, and from the shop, I heard that hobby motor can adapt from 6-12voltage so I thought it would be okay. However, I believe that this motor needs to be connected to 5 voltage. Also, I realized that I put rotary encoder instead of potentiometer. Wrong circuit burned my Arduino.🥲

  • DC motor with H-bridge

I followed the circuit but nothing happened… I could not find the reason. Does the motor driver have to be soldered to activate?
